Last night’s photos are up!
TONE covered Joi Wednesday night and just posted the photos.

This past Saturday, we spent the night in Chinatown taking over 88 Palace, a mini-mall food-court dancefloor type of thing. You know one of those.
Nearly 600 people came out to party with the Retrokidz, XXXChange, DJ Wool & Micprobes, along with our-beautiful-selves, Bijules & the SixSixSick Girls. We saw Dave 1 from Chromeo and Armand Van Helden lurking in the shadows while Roxy danced with Ser and we learned how to host a DIY table reservation.
Stay tuned for the next one
The best way to tell you about the album release party for The Roots at Sutra last night is by letting someone else do it. Thank you Texas, we love you babe!

“Words can not express. I felt really blessed last night to be around one of my favorite Hip Hop groups. The Roots are a very significant voice in my generation, and they will always be appreciated in my eyes. Thank you for the inspiration. Black Thought, thanks for telling me to keep hustlin’ – That I will do. If you weren’t there, you missed a very important moment. It was intimate. It was warm. There were no barriers separating us. There was no beef. We were one. Vibing to the same music. Vibing to the same rhythm. Keep music alive. Keep art alive. ONE LOVE! THANKS TO TASTE NYC AND LAUREN!” – THATKIDTEXAS

WEDNESDAY WITH TASTE AT 205
Everyday we send TONE’s latest work to our friends in Milan, LA, Copenhagen and all over the globe, as a gesture to describe the events in our NYC lives. However, TONE is far from your ordinary event photographer…
I’m apprehensive of describing TONE’s work because I’m sort of astonished on a daily basis. Not many people know the whole story, but I will sum it up like this:
TONE started shooting in ’05 with no traditional photography or art school type of education. One day, he picks up a camera and discovers the talent. Over the past couple of years he made it out to all the hottest parties in New York to get known. Now, we all know TONE.
Today, we’re on the bus sitting next to TONE riding down to DC to capture our latest venture at The Space, a private nightclub in the middle of the district. Our homey is locked and loaded with a vintage Polaroid, a 35mm SLR & of course the weapon of choice: the Canon 5D.

We met Aviva at 205, she was quiet and unassuming until we saw the drama shine through her work.
Aviva is a New York native who brings the darkness of this city in to the beauty of her work. Her playful nature is in the depth of her mezmorizing images, where some seem infinite, others as flat as any high fashion ad campaign.
Somewhere in between her hip hop eye and couture stylings, Aviva is right on the money and leaves us wanting more.
Mike D. is a father and Photo Editor of XXL, before he was the voice of reason for a wild pack of SVA artists armed with cheap beer, joints and the loudest voices in the East Village.
Maybe it’s his calm demeanor that influences his ‘straight-up’ approach. Each photo has a straightforward and unbiased characteristic he achieves through his unique capture and lighting. It’s interesting to see most subjects actually make direct eye contact in photos, like they want the shot done right.
